On May 20-22, 2022, JPSPP educational event-camp for youth took place in Birstonas. 30 young people from Marijampole, Sakiai and Vilkaviskis (10 from each city) gathered to the camp. The camp was aimed at increasing physical activity, promoting healthy lifestyle skills, strengthening emotional health, communication and cooperation, and meaningful leisure time. All activities of the camp were related to JPSPP 8 algorithms implemented in municipalities. There were conversations, communication, good emotions, songs and dances in the camp.
On the first day of the camp, a theoretical-practical game was held, aimed at getting to know each other, creating a cozy atmosphere for the camp participants. Lecture “Adolescent Romantic Relationships. A Toxic Relationships” was given. The lecture intended to develop the ability to create equal relationships based on mutual understanding and respect, to empower youth to talk about sexuality, emotions and relationships. There was a theoretical-practical activity aimed at familiarizing oneself with one’s emotions, preventing depression, suicide and self-harm. In the evening, a quiz and game night on JPSPP topics – 8 algorithms were held.
On the second day of the camp, practical activity – Morning Rhythm, aimed at promoting physical activity, was held. Later, a lecture on the prevention of health problems related to overweight and obesity was given. A lecture on prevention against eating disorders was also given. Practical activities aimed at gathering the team, active games were organized. In the evening, review of short films on the topics of JPSPP 8 algorithms and their discussion were held.
The third day of the camp started with a practical activity – morning exercise. Nordic walking training and hiking were organized. At the end of the camp, a reflection was held.
The participants gained a lot of new information. Although the weather was notperfect, the participants went home in a good mood.
The camp was moderated and conducted by Gintare Razuleviciute, Evelina Vainoriene, Jurga Taleikyte and Karolis Klovas.
During the camp, project publicity paraphernalia was given to the participants.
