Algorithm: Eating Disorders
Since February 2022, preventive training on eating disorders has been provided for students of Sakiai District Municipality, Marijampole Municipality and Vilkaviskis District Municipality. Lecturer Evelina Vainoriene provides students with knowledge about eating disorders, 6 types of hunger, the causes of eating disorders and how to avoid these disorders. During the training video material and its discussion are provided. Young people are learning to manage stress according to Eden method.
Training on this topic took place:
February 1, 2022 – 21 participants attended Vilkaviškis Sports and Entertainment Centre.
February 2, 2022 – 25 participants attended Jungenai Basic School. (Photos attached)
February 4 and 22 – 2022, 30 participants attended Marijampole Suduva Gymnasium.
February 8 and 24 – 2022, 38 participants attended Gelgaudiskis Basic School of Sakiai Region.
Algorithm: Health disorders associated with overweight and obesity
On 2022, February, training on health disorders related to overweights and obesity was held in Marijampole Municipality. The training was led by lecturer Evelina Vainoriene who paid attention to overweight and obesity, its impact on health and quality of life, causes and threats. The lecturer introduced 7 basic human needs. During the training, video material was provided and discussed, stress management according to Eden method was introduced. Training on this topic took place on 2022, 4 and 22 of February and was attended by 22 participants at Suduva Gymnasium.
Algorithm: Depression prevention
Training of depression prevention has been started in Marijampole Municipality. On 2022, 21 of February, 19 participants took part in training at the Marijampolė Vocational Training Centre. The training was led by psychologist Kristina Bruze. Depression, anxiety, burnout syndrome were discussed during the training. An analysis of myths, personal beliefs and attitudes about depression was conducted. There was discussion about how body responds to depression, recognizing the risk of depression and self-assessment, abilities of helping children and adolescences.
Algorithm: Prevention of sexual violence
On 2022, January-February, training on the topic of sexual violence was held in Sakiai District Municipality. On 2022, 28 and 31 of January, 48 participants took part in Luksiai Vincas Grybas Gymnasium. On 2022, 9 and 21 of February, 46 participants took part in Sakiai Ziburys Gymnasium. The training was led by lecturer Edita Ivinkina. The training covered the concept and forms of violence, the scale of the problem, the reactions to sexual violence at different age, reasons of harassment by children and adolescents, the dangers on the internet and human trafficking. Participants were introduced to the possibilities of assistance.
On 2022, March, training on the topics of prevention for youth will continue.
